Grand Final – December 2026
Tilburg

Integrated within the official Winter Edition of HomeGrown.

The Grand Final brings together the top 5 entries per category from each official edition. They all received a Wildcard for the Finals, 6 months later to give them the chance to grow and make their products again.

This is where the strongest entries of the season compete at the highest level.

The Grand Final takes place during the official Winter Edition in December, where the outdoor competition is traditionally hosted.

This integration strengthens the seasonal rhythm of the platform and connects the tour structure to its original foundation.

What is the Grand Final?

The Grand Final represents the final stage of the HomeGrown On Tour season.

Only the top 5 entries per category from Copenhagen, Berlin and Tilburg qualify to compete.

This creates a concentrated field of the strongest submissions across Europe.

Rather than expanding endlessly, the format narrows down — increasing competitive intensity while preserving community character.

Qualification

Qualification for the Grand Final is automatic.

At each official edition, the top 5 entries per category secure their place in Tilburg.

No additional submissions or wildcard entries are accepted beyond the official tour structure.

This ensures that every finalist has earned their position through peer-based evaluation.

Final Format

The Grand Final follows the same structured peer-based judging system as the tour editions.

All qualified participants receive judge packs within their respective categories.

Finalists evaluate the strongest entries of the season — including their own — with self-scores removed from the final calculation.

Due to the concentrated field, the judging intensity increases while maintaining transparency and fairness.

The event also serves as the official season closing gathering of the HomeGrown community.

Season Conclusion

The Grand Final is not designed as a commercial spectacle, but as the natural conclusion of the HomeGrown On Tour season.

It represents the highest competitive level within the structure — bringing together the strongest entries from across Europe.

By limiting participation to qualified finalists only, the event preserves its credibility, intensity and community-driven character.

The Grand Final in Tilburg stands as the culmination of the European season.
